It was a very different experience for Wipro employees when children from Door Step School’s sites visited Wipro Campus on 29th April.
The children along with DSS teachers reached the Wipro Campus at 10.30, on the dot. We organized a 1 hour coloring session for the Children. Our volunteers taught the children the technique of coloring with crayons and some beautiful and colorful Fishes and Butterflies emerged at the end of the hour.
After a brief break for refreshments, the children interacted with the Wipro team and were curious to know what goes on inside the Campus. The Wipro cares Volunteers who are actively engaged with Door Step School explained about the work that DSS does and the Every Child Counts Campaign for Enrolling all children into schools. The children then surprised the Wipro employees with their perfect recitation of poems and songs.
After the interaction session Wipro’s Cultural team, Indradhanush presented a flash Mob and gave a message on the Every child counts campaign for School enrollment. The children joined the flash mob and danced with our Indradhanush team. The children then enjoyed lunch at the cafeteria with the Volunteers.
The best part of the event was to see the children so disciplined and enjoying every moment of the day. The volunteers really enjoyed the time spent with the children. Moments captured in our cameras with the children were just priceless.
We would like to thank Door Step School for giving us this opportunity and we hope that in future we can continue this journey of bringing education to all, together !
