Parent’s Participation in Children’s Education

DSC04183_360pxThe role of a parent in a child’s education is very important. This includes getting a child ready on time and seeing to it that he goes to school clean and neat, with his school bag filled with essentials and giving him lunch or snacks to eat in school etc. Giving importance to his schooling also means giving priority to his school attendance and regularity and therefore arranging transport for the child to reach school on time.

The project Parents Participation Program (PPCE )”  started in February 2013, plans to educate parents on the needs of a school going child.

We are looking for volunteers who can be a part of the Parent Participation Program. He/she will be required to meet the parent at the construction site and help them understand their role in their child’s education on an ongoing basis.

At this time, the PPCE is focusing its efforts in the Kondhwa and Muhhamadwadi region, so we especially welcome the volunteers who live in and around this place. Ability to speak 2-3 regional languages (Marathi, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi) will surely be an added advantage.
