Human Chain at Gateway of India

Door Step School  had organised Human chain  on 5th September to mark  Teacher’s Day and Literacy Day and also successful completion 25 years .About 500 students of Door Step School and 150 teachers enthusiastically participated in this event. Children loudly chanted slogans to make people aware of our work and need for education. Children who were in the lead role had arrived from far distance places. Despite of change in the venue Door Step School team  came together and managed this event sucessfully. Visit to art exhibition at Chhratapati Shivaji maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya

In month of June 32 Study Class children OF Cuff Parade area visited museum – Partner a Master Exhibition in which art work was presented by group  of contemporary artists and children from public and private schools who worked together on projects of art workshops through different mediums, methods and concepts. Door Step School in NGO India Fair

UBM India had organised “Giving Back – NGO India 2013″, a not-for-profit large scale exhibition and conference designed to bring together NGOs from across India We participated in exihibition with a motive  to raise awareness about our working and make people know our presence.Many  visitors visited our stall and appreciated for the work we do by writing different comments.We had nice experience of getting in contact with many other NGOs

Vacchan Mela-Reading Fair

On  June 28, 2013  Reading mela  was organized  in Colaba Municipal School mainly for primary school children. Aim was to get every child through 6 activities i.e. 6 stalls. On completion of each activity, the child was given a crayon which he could put in the bag and take home. This involved imparting a sense of achievement to the children. At one point in time, only 5 students were directed to a particular stall, and the teacher student ratio was 1:2:5. AntiTobacco Streetplay

Anti-Tobacco Awareness Street Play 30th December, 2010   Karan, 13 year old, approached the passer-by who was smoking and said, “Don’t smoke cigarette it is very dangerous to your health.” Pooja, 12 year old said, “I’m going to tell my mother not to brush her teeth with powdered tobacco.”   An anti-tobacco awareness program was organized by the Door Step School “Phoenix Bal Samuha” from Lord Harris Municipal School, Mumbai on 30th December 2010.
